Why apply through us?

Gesher has created a streamlined application process:

  • We get receipts of your submission to better track submitted documentation.
  • Documents are submitted to the right personnel at the county.
  • Through our contacts at the county we can advocate on your behalf if any issues arise.
  • We keep current on new government policies regarding all programs.
  • We can submit multiple applications at a time in an organized way.

 

In order for us to help you, please use the link below to download and fill out a client release form.

We can then determine which programs you qualify for.

Procedure for applying for Med/Snap/Child Care:

  1. Application completed and submitted with all required documentation.
  2. The County has 30 days to respond to an application.
  3. The County takes 5 business days to process to any documentation submitted.
  4. Child Care- you can only apply up to 30 days before you require the services.
  5. Medicaid Hotline 1-844-640-6446; you can always call them for an update on your case.
  6. Snap- The interview model has changed. You will receive a letter in the mail with an interview time and date. You must call at the scheduled time, workers are not calling clients anymore.

 

Gesher Policies

We are happy to submit any application or documentation on your behalf but please be aware of our policies,

  • We do not keep any of your documentation. We will keep a copy of the actual application or form for 12 months only.
  • We can not look up any accounts and print the bills.
  • We do not have a computer for clients to access so please come with all of your documentation
  • Same for our phones, they are for Gesher employees only.
  • Drop off paperwork can be done during regular business hours, if you require more time please schedule an appointment.
  • Each year we need to update our intake forms for authorization to submit applications to the county on your behalf.
